It's going to be my new address.
You've heard of it... it's the "temporary" jail facilities for Maricopa County.
I committed a crime today.
:
The mailman delivered a nice large manila envelope to my address today.
:
It had my name on it.
:
:
But it clearly meant for another Carrie Nelson.
:
:
Uh, yeah, right.
My Mom thought maybe I had sent something to myself.
Rosie? She just wanted to know if there were any peanut butter biscuits in the envelope.
The return address provided some help, except that now I'm thinking that maybe Miss Simplify over at the TB World Headquarters has had a few too many Route 44s.
Since I'm a nosey-kind of girl and I hadn't gotten any other mail today, I opened the package. Besides, if I was going to give it back to the mailman so he could deliver it properly, I needed to do my civic duty and make sure that the package didn't contain anything breakable, liquid, perishable, hazardous or flammable.
It didn't.
But I'm keeping everything in the envelope.
Stealing someone else's mail... that's a crime, isn't it?
But I think you'd understand... and I know for a fact that you'd have done the same thing! Are you going to tell me that you would have sent back three gorgeous new quilt patterns and a wonderful bib pattern for little folks?
And the most beautiful camera strap ever... made out of Rouenneries fabric?
In legalese... it's called the "justification" defense.
Or I could use an insanity defense... as in, I'd have been nuts not to keep this!
It's a perfect fit too.
Whatever you do... please don't tell anyone that they sent all these beautiful goodies to the wrong house because I am SO keeping them!
Thank you, Camille.
Until today, I didn't know that perfection comes in a manila envelope.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Everything is going well with the floor, in the past two days, the floor has been patched, sealed, scraped, vacuumed and washed.
By tomorrow afternoon, the first application of color goes down. Since that is a layer by layer process, and it gets tweaked as it goes along until you get it where you want it, that can take a couple of hours or a day or two. Then the sealer and we're done ~ and we should be moving back in by this weekend.
Rosie thinks we should just leave the room the way it is.
There is plenty of room to play. And I think she likes the echo. (That's her stuffed pumpkin ~ she loves Halloween, especially the "treat" part.)
Bye for now...
Oh, lucky you! Promise I wont tell. Trying to be patient waiting for those patterns to arrive, they are to-die-for!

Carrie, I know you love sharing as much I as do and "littleacorn" does and "Bunny Hill" does now we know so does "Miss Simpfily". I am sure there are thousands who enjoy it as much as those mentioned. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. What a wonderful workd we live in.

You silly girl... uh, designer... wizard. Camille calls 'em as she see's 'em! Of course this wonderful package of bliss was meant for you!
p.s. your projects make me feel so lazy!

Yeah! I'm so glad it found you. Let me explain the wizard part- I wrote "The Amazing Carrie Nelson" and then started laughing because it made you sound like a wizard. Then I thought it is appropriate, because you are a design wizard. And also I was really tired. It made sense at the time. Not so much now... ;-)
Seriously, you make me laugh so hard! Thanks for being such a sweet friend!
ps- Literally can't wait to see YOUR Route 44... :-)

Are you nuts! We all would have sent the men in white jackets after you, if you had turned away that fabulous package! Unless, of course, you wanted to send it to my house! Plus, you are amazing...just ask Rosie!

Ohhh I'm jealous. And and also sad since I would enjoy seeing you wearing that camera strap taking some photos at market. xo

Oh you are a lucky ducky. Being amazing, and having others recognize it! Most of us are only amazing in our own little worlds ;)

What I think is so wonderful about all of you designers, is that you promote each other, and share, and show no envy, competitive spirit, etc. It's great!!! No wonder, we all enjoy your blogs.

Honestly Carrie, I've been waiting for that package to arrive. I thought it was lost forever. Now, if you need the correct address so it can get where it was SUPPOSED to go I'd be happy to provide you with it...! huh? not buyin' it? Well, you can't blame a girl for trying, besides, I could never pull off the "amazing designer wizard" part, and you fit that bill perfectly. What a wonderful surprise!!!
